Our family loves to be together to experience everything delightful and fun, and we love to cook and try delicious things together in the kitchen. We love to camp, hike, canoe and swim in all the water that surrounds us on the "sunrise side" of Michigan. We also love to garden and experiment with different recipes in the kitchen. Mostly, we love each other, our amazing life and our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Holly has a bachelor's degree in biology and natural resource management and loves to watch birds, read the occasional wildlife paper or embroider when she's not keeping house, playing with Jed and Hank or cooking something new for our family to try. She always has a crafting or sewing project going, and she tries to restrain herself from organizing the life out of her men.
Dave has a bachelor's degree in recreation and natural resource management and currently gets paid to spend time taking care of trails, fixing broken machinery and interacting with drunken river-goers with the US Forest Service. He loves primitive archery and is always working on a new bow. He also loves to tease his wife, be outside, eat cookies and play with his boys. He is the best husband and father you could ask for and he does the dishes every night.
Jed is five and quite the Mister Personality. His favorite colors are red and pink. He loves attending preschool, where his favorite job is being the Line Leader. He enjoys planes, cars, trains, sharks and dinosaurs. He has an excellent memory and is a good helper around the house when he wants to be. He loves to play the Minion game on the iTouch and to play Candy Land for Family Home Evening. He enjoys bossing Hank around and being a typical older brother. We love Jed and are so glad he is a part of our family!
