tweedle-dee-dee

My fabulous sister Hanna came to visit this last weekend to hang out and go to the Relief Society broadcast. It was so good to just hang out and relax and make some yummy food together. Other than that, we've been boring lately. No trips, not much going on. So...here's some pictures that we've taken lately.

When Hanna and I were at the church Saturday night, eating the baked potato bar dinner prepared by the stake and watching the Relief Society broadcast, Dave and Jed were eating some sort of yummy goodness that involved rice. Evidently, Jed loves rice. Dave loves that the grains of rice stick to Jed's lips. Good all around!

Dave mowed the lawn for the last time on Monday. Jed had a great time riding on our neighbors' lawn tractor and thought it was lots of fun.

I cleaned out one of our food storage cupboards and got it ready for food coming from the case-lot sale in Utah. HOORAY!! You can't see all my lovely jars on the shelf, but they're there. And they're beautiful. :)

In garden news, we actually got good ears from our corn! We went through the corn tonight (not in the dark--last year we dug potatoes with our head lamps) and pulled off all the ears and about 75 % of the ears were good. So tomorrow I'll be blanching and freezing corn. Yum. I also picked all our tomatoes today. Most of them are green but I have them laid out to ripen. It might take a while but I am pretty sure they will. We are expecting a pretty hard freeze--possibly snow--tonight, hence the mass harvest. Glory, glory, fall in Montana!
