a fearsome feast

Last night we chose to stay home and just relax after all our partying the past weekend. I had seen several cute ideas I wanted to replicate, so we had quite a fearsome feast for our Halloween dinner.

"Swamp Dip" complete with a spiderweb and an olive spider

"Bones and blood" cheesy bread sticks and dipping sauce

"Mummy dogs" with mustard eyes

We also had "witch fingers," aka sweet potato fries, "witch brooms" (celery sticks) and "beetles" (olives) along with a yummy salad. Sooo spookily delicious!

And for dessert....

Monster puddings! Pistachio pudding with Oreo crumbs for hair. Some of my monsters ended up a little friendlier than others. It's pretty hard to think up a lot of scary faces while drawing on a curved surface.
