Jed loves to go miniature golfing. We took the boys once last summer (Hank rode in the backpack and fell asleep on the third hole) and it made an incredible impression on him. Now, every time we drive by the miniature golf course, he points it out and tells us what color ball he's going to pick when we go the next time (even in the winter!) We have tried to go a couple of times this summer, but bad weather and sickness combined to keep us away until last Monday. The stars aligned and we had an excellent day!
Being "strong boys" ready to swing their clubs
Hank wasn't too keen on actually golfing, but he had fun carrying his green club and pink ball around. There are several mini-golf courses in our area, since it's such a vacation haven, but Hubie's is by far the nicest. The course is really well maintained and the holes are just the right level of difficulty. Plus, the entire course is really pretty.
You just can't beat those gorgeous waterlilies!
This picture perfectly captures Jed the whole day--he was just blissed out. Also, he was being a ninja, which is why he had his sword tucked into his shirt like that.
Hole 13 was Jed's favorite, because it had a "whirlpool" hole. You hit the ball into the top hole and it pops out and spins around and around into the middle hole, and the pops out at the bottom.
Jed and Hank had fun talking back and forth to each other from the bottom and middle holes on #13. So cute.
Such a fun day with my little sweeties! I love the things that make summer special, like mini-golfing and getting fudge afterwards (Hubie's also makes the MOST delicious fudge. It is a special kind of agony to golf along and smell the fudge cooking). Jed is already plotting what color ball he'll be getting next time we go!
