Jed is here (written by dave)

Well, folks, he made it. Jedediah LaMont Scherbel was born Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 6:38 p.m. He weighed 7 lbs 7 oz and was 20 inches long. He has big feet, long fingers, lots of cute black hair, and a squeaky cry. He's already had a lot of practice with the crying. We love him lots and we're so glad he's here.

Dave got to wash him after he was all weighed and checked and fed. Jed really liked getting his hair washed.

We took a bunch of pictures. Here's our favorites we took while in our room recovering and such.

Here's his first sneeze. Holly tried to suck it out with the squeezy bulb thing and it just kept on coming.

Dave also gave him a comb-over. Very business-like if you ask me.

Oh yeah, Holly's doing just great also. She is a good trooper. She's already feeling pretty good. Now she's spending her time eating, feeding, sleeping and fending off the boob nazis. Dave is also doing well, he passed out in the delivery room, but was soon revived, okay just kidding. Dave was a very good helper during the delivery and loves being a daddy. He even got to change jed's first diaper, which looks alot like tar, though not as tasty. sorry, no pictures of that exciting moment.
