Many apologies for not having pictures of us in cute Halloween costumes. I'm so sorry. I even planned costumes. Jed was going to wear his White Puffy Suit with some white ears pinned on. I was going to wear a black sweater and black ears, taped to a headband. And Dave was going to wear a brown hoodie, also with brown ears. He balked at the headband, so I think I would have taped the ears to his head. Or something. And we were all going to have black noses (possibly. I can see both my boys being decidedly unhappy about that). Yes, we were going to be bears! And it was going to be Beary Cute (if it killed us).
BUT...
Dave had to work. All day. In Ennis, which if you look at a map, is east of here about an hour and a half. And he has to work there tomorrow, so... no trick-or-treating for us. (I miss you, Dave!)
In all fairness, I don't really think we would have gone trick-or-treating even if Dave had been home. Because I think there is something a little desperate about trick-or-treating with a 10-month-old kid who isn't going to eat candy anyway. PLEASE don't hate me if you took your baby trick-or-treating. It is acceptable in many situations, like if you have older kids, or they're old enough to actually get into this Halloween business. I also think dressing up is totally cool if you have an actual party to go to. However, our ward was lame and didn't have a Halloween party and our friends are all as lame as we are.
So I really, truly apologize.
