bathing the cats

Saturday was the dreadful day--the cats HAD to be bathed. We used to give poor Pip a bath fairly often, but this was the first time we've washed Dot and Dash. With Pip, it took one person to wash and the other person to hold him down, since he was a wriggling mass of teeth and claws. We weren't sure how Dash and Dot would react, so we locked the doors to the bathroom and prepared for the worst.

Surprisingly, Dash was incredibly well behaved. Once he got wet, he seemed to be resigned to his fate and he just moaned his way through his bath.

You can hear his moan at the beginning of the video, but be sure to turn down your speakers, because Jed throws a major fit at the end. Sorry--I haven't learned how to edit videos yet.

Dot (who mysteriously turned out to be a GIRL, have I mentioned that?) fought a little harder, but she did pretty well too.

Don't cats look so funny when they're wet? Ours seem so big, but once they were wet, they looked small and helpless again. Looks are definitely deceiving!
