We finally got our first serious snowfall the first weekend in January. We got about 2 inches Saturday night and woke up to 3 more inches Sunday morning. Of course, church was cancelled. {I have to say, I feel like some of our branch members are a bit wimpusy. Sure, some people may not be able to make it to church, but that doesn't mean things need to be cancelled. But whatever....} We enjoyed a leisurely breakfast and then bundled up to dig ourselves out. After we got done shoveling, we built a snowman in the backyard! We had a great time piling up the snow and carving out our masterpiece, since the snow wasn't very "roll-ey." Then we had to decorate him. Dave hauled the boys up the hill on the sled so we could find arms for our snowman.
Hank loved leaning and making the sled fall over and dump them out. It took us like 15 minutes to get to the top of the hill!
We found some perfect arms for our snowman and I carried them down the hill while the boys rode. They loved being pulled down the hill!
And here is our happy snowman! Jed asked that we face him toward the road instead of the house so the snowman can see him get off the bus. I thought that was too cute. We had so much fun building him together, and then we went inside to get warm and snuggle.
