an excellent weekend

I've been registering complaints because I haven't been putting on as many pictures lately. So here's my repentance. Also, we're dull. We're trying to get actual work done on the house and yard and not taking as many pictures. But here are the best from yesterday and today.

Saturday we cleaned out our food storage room. It isn't where we want it to be (it needs insulation) but at least now we know what food we have and I can get to it without monumental effort.

...wouldn't let us near the oven...

...and raced his cart into anything possible.

All done in the span of an hour this morning, while wearing only a diaper, as we were getting ready to go to Stake Conference.

Stake Conference was really good. Our leaders are great and it was enjoyable. We sat with a lot of members from our branch and they took turns playing with Jed, so Dave and I actually got to listen a little. The theme of the conference was "Come" and each talk dealt with coming, to the Lord, to virtue, to the temple. It was a great conference.

It was a beautiful day--we packed a picnic and ate before the meeting started. Stake conference was in Huntsville, about an hour to the south of us and home to a small state college, Sam Houston State. Appropriately, the town embraces all things Sam and there are several murals dedicated to his honor. We liked this one best:

Finally for you today, here's Jed on Friday night. I guess he's going low-carb on us because he wouldn't eat the noodles that accompanied our dinner. We had to resort to some tricks to get any in his mouth.
