po-tomato head

Jed is a little confused about potatoes and tomatoes--every time we are buying produce, we talk about which is which, and he is firmly convinced that the red juicy one is a potato and the dusty brown or purplish ones are tomatoes--but we're working with him. The result of all the potato/tomato practice is that he refers to both as a "po-tomato."

Jed's speech therapist, Miss Leah, has two small potato-heads. We have one as well, and Jed loves to get them all together, take off all the face components and carry them around together. Jed refers to the three naked potatoes as "po-tomato heads." Here he is being a little silly with them during Thursday's therapy session.

Leah and I always feel so silly trying to help Jed with his "po-tomato" problem. Usually before he's done with them, at least one of us has referred to the thing as a "po-tomato" as well. Never fear, we will conquer this vegetable problem!
