We have been making some cosmetic changes to the front of our house and Monday we had the gravel delivered for our flower beds. Jed was totally enthralled as he watched the dump truck drop the gravel on the driveway. The ink wasn't dry on my check for the delivery before Jed ran to get his "scoopa tractor" and started moving gravel around.

Jed had so much fun playing in the gravel until Dave came home. And then the real "fun" began!
Jed had a great time using his little trowel to help scoop the gravel into the wheel-barrow. Some of it actually made it in! He had a great time riding back to the pile in the empty wheel-barrow too.
Eventually he remembered his dump truck and had fun loading that up with gravel. I tried to get him to dump the gravel in the flower beds, but he had to dump it further up or down the driveway, instead.
Jed has definitely enjoyed this gravel. I think Dave has enjoyed playing around with it too, although it's a lot heavier pushing a loaded wheel-barrow than a little dump truck. Still, boys and their toys, right? Even if it is hard work, we're pleased with our efforts so far. Stay tuned to see the finished product!
