enjoying the rainbow

Sunday, after 2 straight days of rain, the sun finally came out and gave us a gorgeous rainbow. We enjoyed looking at it and playing for a few minutes on the porch before it was time for dinner.
Hank was still dapper in his Sunday clothes
Jed was so excited to come outside that he forgot to put his pants on. It was strangely warm--over 60 degrees--after the rain, so going pants-less was no big deal. It almost felt like we were in Texas again!
A wild toss sent his football in the road. Jed loves that football and went careening out to rescue it. His socks were completely soaked afterwards. Yuck, there is nothing I hate more than wet socks that have to be peeled off.
This picture totally doesn't do it justice--the rainbow was gorgeous and completely full, with a hint of a double rainbow on the other side. Unfortunately, the side that best showed up was near the power line. Oh well. It was a beautiful night and we were thrilled to be able to get outside for a little while.
