Hank loves to eat

Hank started eating solid food last week! He LOVES it. He had been staring wistfully at our food for a couple of weeks and is a great sitter now, so we figured it was time.
He started out with baby oatmeal and took right to it.

At first he had to sit on our laps, since we needed to get new straps for the high chair. Saturday we got them all fixed up and now Hank loves to sit like a big boy at the table.
It is MUCH cleaner to have him sit on his own.

Above is a picture of Jed at this same age, learning to eat. Below is Hank. I know that they look so much alike, but it is SO strange to see just how much. Our boys are good eaters!

 "Mmm, Daddy, that's the stuff!"
Hank loves to help with the spoon. I am happy to encourage it, because Jed still doesn't really like to feed himself unless it's something he loves. I want Hank to be a little more eager in that department.

So far, he eats baby oatmeal and mashed bananas. He has also tried butternut squash but doesn't really love it unless it's mixed with the cereal. This morning he also tried grapefruit juice and was NOT pleased with it. Toooooo sour!
