Super Bowl fun

For the first time in our married life, we have "real" tv. We broke down and bought a digital antenna in hopes of being able to watch the Olympics. Since we live in the boonies, we don't get NBC or PBS, the two stations I was most hoping to have (sob). But we do get ABC, CBS and FOX. So, we were able to watch the Super Bowl last Sunday. We all know the tragic outcome for my beloved Broncos, so we don't need to dwell on that any more. Ever. Despite the trouncing, we had fun and the boys LOVED watching football and eating in front of the TV. We made 7 layer dip and guacamole and ate til we couldn't eat any more.

Hank loved watching the coin toss and wanted to be right up close in the action. So cute.

Jed loved seeing the huge American flag during the National Anthem and immediately ran to find his little flag.
We let the boys watch the (disastrous) first quarter and then they went to bed. As we were ushering them up the stairs, Jed broke down in tears and said "But I love the football! We have to watch more football!" He was so sad the next morning to find that there was no more football on TV and that there won't be any for quite a while. I feel exactly the same way!
